We'll likely find out in a an hour or two when they put up tomorrow's schedule, but does anyone know the full line up for week 5?

I'd be happy with those 9 in the Classic, and then the 3 WCs how they saw fit. Emily Arb could jump ahead Eliz, Freya, and Nadia if she plays Week 5 and gets the right amount of points, or if she wins it of course, and whoever wins will obviously be guaranteed their place (if thye have not already done so), but it could only be Emily Arb and one other. Beth does have a (q) from the official tournament, as was mentioned on the other thread, but we'll have to see who is playing W5 to determine who else is already through from the other high scorers.

Quite a good mix of youth, and more established name power as it stands, and all of them would bring something to the table. Nadia possibly the current weakest on paper of the 9, but she's had some great wins, and to get 22 points from 3 events (6, 7, and 9), shows good consistency, and that she's improved as the weeks have went by.

Here's the order of play, but I can't see the Pools right now. More detail in the morning, after I have checked the rankings.

Start
10:00 AM
NICHOLS Olivia v AMOS Abigal
DALEY Danielle v STAFF Holly
BROADY Naomi v MALONEY Eliz
BARNETT Alicia v RICHARDSON Erin
GREY Sarah Beth v RAWSON Nadia
APPLETON Emily v ALLEN Victoria

Order of play is out for tomorrow, so the 12 participants are

Olivia Nicholls, Abigail Amos, Holly Staff, Danielle Daley, Naomi Broady, Eliz Maloney, Alicia Barnett, Erin Richardson, Beth Grey, Nadia Rawson, Emily Appleton, Vic Allen

The schedule had all the men's up first and was then shlowly adding the women's - I had low hopes when the names started slowly filtering through, but that's actually a pretty strong week.

So going back to Telstars earlier list, with no Freya or Emily Arb involved next week, we know a lot more now:

Broady (q) 33
Appleton (q)28
Grey (q) 27,
Maloney (q)26
Christie 25
Rawson 22
Burrage (q) 12,
Silva (q) 12
Kartal (q) 12

So 7 should be confirmed. Most of the realistic Week 5 contenders have already booked their place, so a very good chance that that could be the final 9 before WCs, but if Lissy, or Holly at a push, won the title then they would qualify, and it would be down to Freya and Nadia for the 9th spot - Nadia would need to finish at least 9th place to get the additional 4 points to pip Freya, so she is pretty likely to qualify, although with 6 of the above 9 involved, there's a strong chance one of them will win, and both Freya and Nadia will get in regardless.

A lot of players obviously keen to ensure they secure their Classic week place, but will be playing a lot of matches in quick succession.

Danielle did retire in her match today.

I'm a bit surprised that Beth and Naomi aren't taking the week off. They played 9 and 8 matches respectively (including doubles) over the last week, on top of all the previous matches in this series.

Edit - mind you they both were still looking very fit by the end

I am informed that Danielle will play tomorrow.

I would say that Emily App and Beth have now qualified. They could be overtaken by Eliz and Nadia and a new event winner ( eg Barnett) but no others. Beth and Naomi must be extremely fit- will be on 40 plus consecutive days by the end of the Masters!

Yep, Eliz also guaranteed now I think, with Freya in most danger of missing out should Barnett (or someone more unlikely) take the title. Yeah, very fit indeed - before I knew the 60 match schedule, I was more expecting Beth and Naomi just to make the odd doubles appearance this week, but going by your BotB results round up, they've both been among the most active, so it's a hell of a schedule for them.

In hindsight, now I know the W5 line up, and particularly that Freya and Emily Arb aren't involved, (as a fan) I kind of wish Eliz and Emily Ap had taken the day off, as they'll both be looking at 21 SGH matches in a row by the time the Classic is done, and there'll also be less 40 min routine matches in the Classic, so the bulk of the final field could be on their last legs come next Sunday, ha, but then again, bar the odd Tier 1 BT event, I guess those ranked 500-1000 won't really know when they'll next play at this stage, so they'll probably want to get as many matches (and money) while they can, but I take my hat off to them all for their sheer activity, and they'll need to have a good couple of weeks off after.

I think A does look stronger with more contenders, so Lissey will probably be happy to be in B.

I know it's not great for the organisers schedule, but I hope we see a couple of concedes on the Sunday placing day, and they still get their points (and presumeably money) like Maia the other week - so at least they'll get one day off heading into the Classic, although obviously not if it's the actual week final with $5k and the trophy on the line.

Just to let you know, the polls are up for GB Player of the Month over in the general discussion section, if any followers of womens tennis would like to vote!
