In the normal course of things, an event like this would be mouthwatering. It will be fascinating to see who comes out of the blocks fast and also how serious the competition is. I suspect competitive juices will flow for sure.
Uncertain what the OOP will be - they seem to have 6 days, presumably 4 days of round robin. I imagine it will be 3 singles match a day and then semis and finals on days 5 and 6?
Doubles will presumably be over 3 days for the round robin and then semis and final; either way should be interesting.
I know we sometimes split these into singles and doubles but for this event it feels right to just keep it as one event to comment on, partic as many of the players are in both events
Good to see - of course, the final 3 singles matches are known on Day 4 as well, I guess they just want to decide the order?
The doubles groups finish after day 3 so they will either play the semis on Day 4 alongside the final round of singles group matches or maybe have a gap and play them on the same day as the singles semis, day 5?
Does anyone know the format, is it 3 tb sets throughout ie ATP format for singles and the usual CTB format in doubles, or are they trying Fast 4 style etc?
I haven't seen the format anywhere - so I asked them via twitter. I'll update when I know !
Cool, just seen your tweet on it - can we call you Andrew now
Only if you follow me ...........
I would if I knew how! I dont actually have a Twitter account but do go on and look at tweets from various folks - but I genuinely have no idea how to use it as a "tool", for me it is just like looking at posts on a board like this I am afraid!
I actually lie - I did once have an account but had no idea how to use it and ended up forgetting what the account name, password whatever was!
Hi TA - did they ever respond to you re the format??
No, and there were loads of other people tagged in the original tweet, including most of the players
Considering how many matches they are proposing to play each day, they can only really get them all on one court if it is Fast4 though. No reason why they would only use one court though.

Id be surprised if it isnt 3 tie break sets. 2 doubles and 3 singles starting at 13:00. Indoors so no chance of weather problems.
The match fitness might be a bit low which might shorten the matches a bit.
