Who is your favourite foreign former player? Womens SemiFinal, Group A

10/11 players in these groups, the 30 from the last round plus 2 players I missed out and have added to the field!

Draw will close Thursday around 6 pm.

Top 3 from each group will qualify - if ties, a tie play off will take place!

Hmm, I voted for 4 of these players in R1. Will come back to vote later.

Oh for me it's even worse there are five players here I want to go through to the final! All ones I would have voted for in the other groups!

I voted for Gabi Sabatini here, she was one of my favourites of all time really and still think she is great!

Karen Susman yet to score, perhaps promoted out of her depth. Some colour commentary required!

She's out of her depth here. She won Wimbledon in 1962 and won 3 grand slam doubles titles with Billie Jean King.

For me this is a very interesting group. Neither of the two I narrowed my vote down too, Little Mo and Althea Gibson, look like they might make it to the final, but there is nevertheless a good chance I will vote for a player from this group in the final. smile

Sylvia Hanika won the 1982 Avon Championships, the year end finals, at Madison Square Garden, beating Martina Navratilova in the final, and a prize of $100k.

6 players on 2 or 3 votes, this could unfold anyway tomorrow. Good group!

Have voted for Maureen Connolly again - she could have won a phenomenal number of slams if it hadnt have been for her riding accident.

Slightly amazed Dominika Cibulkova leads, but she does! 4 players just a vote behind her, with 19 votes in as we head to bed!

afáová speaks three languages: Czech, German and English.[1]

She was in a relationship with fellow Czech tennis player Tomá Berdych until they broke up in 2011.[41]

On July 4th, 2019, Safarova posted on her Instagram that she was excited to be expecting a baby with former NHL player Tomá Plekanec.[42] She announced the birth of her daughter Lea on the 19th December

I was the same - my top 3 left all in the same group.
