my first ever live Wimbledon match included Phil Dent, losing to John Lloyd, this group was weakest for me, he gets my vote today!

Chris Lewis, Wimbledon 1983, what a year! They played a DC match between NZ and Sweden at Eastbourne that year, to avoid them travelling back to NZ mid season and because Lewis loved the grass! Sweden won!

Came back. Quite liked Tony Roche in my early watching days and his doubles with John Newcombe. And that's enough to secure my vote in this group.

Wimbledon 1983 - Chris Lewis beat Kevin Curren in five close enthralling sets in the semi-finals before McEnroe steam-rollered Lendl in three sets. McEnroe went on to take the title.

Istvan Gulyas was the 2nd and last Hungarian man to reach a Grand Slam singles  final losing to Tony Roche in Paris 1966. He was 34 at time and died in 2000.

Dennis Ralston was runner up to Manuel Santana at Wimbledon in 1966. He is also the youngest man ever to win the mens doubles at Wimbledon at the age of 17 years 341 days. This was in 1960 when having combined for the first time ever with Rafael Osuna they went on to defeat the all British combination of Mike Davies and Bobby Wilson in the final.
