I was tempted by Jonny Marray but feel he has enough support and the more I think about Paul Hutchins and the eulogies he got when he died, the more I realise I respected him a lot for what he has done for tennis in many aspects. He was DC captain when we reached the 1978 final and so gets my vote
If there a last couple of votes to come in that could still have a bit of an impact but Jonny, Marcus and Paul Hutchins look safe. If the latter does indeed qualify, that will be interesting sub-battle in the final.
Mike Sangster, as mentioned in the ladies polls, was Devonian. In 1961 he reached the semis at wimbledon and us open, 1963 in french open. In 1967 , he was ranked 7th in world based on rankings done by ILTF at year end. He died very young though, at age 45 in 1985, he had a heart attack playing golf.
