A reminder that 1st round groups consist of:-

- Members of Federation/Fed Cup Teams

- Additional players that were part of Wightman Cup Teams

- Players that won at least one singles match at Wimbledon

- Players from qualifying including one Lucky Loser

This is now knockout.

Why? I voted elsewhere as Annabel is not a favourite of mine.

She was married to Chris Brasher. As Shirley Bloomer she won the French Championships in 1957 and was runner up in 1958. She later did some coaching and I was at Southport in the early 90's   and she was coaching Sam Smith. Did we have her daughter Kate Brasher in qualifying? She was a junior in the era of Amanda Brown and Sara Gomer. Kate was only about 5 foot  tall and this is against being a sucess unless you are the Cibulkova's of this world. Kate got married and had 6 children. The Brasher's son Hugh now administers the London marathon.

Just spotted Kate in  group 6.

Joyce Williams has got no votes but she was a quarter finalist at the 1971 US Open. She was  from Scotland and her first husband was the tennis broadcaster Gerald Williams.  After retiring she broadcast at  Wimbledon on the radio for a number of years.
