Some of these names are a real blast from the past! Winnie Shaw!!
Yes, one of the first non absolute top level names I recall being aware of. Got my vote.
Edit: Looking at her wiki, actually pretty impressive slam record, particularly in doubles. And all acquired in a few years before her retirement at age 25, following her wedding.

She married Ken Wooldridge, I believe, who was in the mens draw I think?

Yes, well Keith Wooldridge. She died of cancer in 1992, at just age 45
Always liked Jo but in this round have voted for Winnie Shaw - she takes me back to when I first was interested in tennis and she did well at grand slams on a number of occasions. I didnt know that she had died so early - that is very sad to hear.

At the moment, only 3 players have votes here, what happens if that stays as the situation?
I would think for a start that it depends on whether there are ties for 4th in other groups Jon, since that might well result in the numbers being made up.

Am aiming for 40 or thereabouts in the next round with an anticipated 4 from each group. if this remains as 3 from here then obviously I won't put through any non-scorers from here at the expense of a 5th placed finish who has a vote(s) from another group.
