I didn't know she was from Liverpool either until I heard her being interviewed either yesterday or the day before. Quite nice to hear a regional accent.
Beth won her first senior ITF tournament today - the W25 at Jablonec nad Nisou in the Czech Republic. Not only did she come through qualifying, but she won seven matches, all in straight sets.

Ms Raducanu has a lot to answer for, setting the precedent for this sort of thing.
So Beth finished 2021 as GB#9. Here's a breakdown of her points.
So if any player didn't want the season to end, you would have to say it was Beth. As 2021 progressed, the points she accrued pretty much grew exponentially as she finished the year with a win at Jablonec. Overall 2021 tournaments account for 178 of her 205 points (86%) putting her in 2nd place for this metric (behind Emma). Amongst the Top10, she finishes the year as the biggest climber in the UK rankings, up 11 places from where she started in Jan 2021. Beth's points are the most euro-centric (92%).
"After a month of uncertainty, doubt & a lot in between. My heart surgery went as well as we could have hoped for. Im feeling really thankful to be able to resume my normal life & be given the green light to go back to being an athlete & do what I love. Il be back competing soon after I've recovered & feel ready to do so.
This has been a real life changing experience and I can't thank the incredible team of Drs, Cardiologists, the @lta and my family enough for supporting me through this. In light of my experience, I hope to raise awareness of the importance of cardiac screening in athletes."
I wish her a swift recovery, and hope that she does indeed get back to competing soon.

Good luck to her for a swift recovery .
what was the actual problem, i cant access instagram as I dont have an account and it stops me, does she go on to say?
All the very best to Beth on making a good recovery.
As a less important aside, she has very few points to defend over the next 6 months. With others overall going to be very likely dropping more than they add I wouldn't be amazed if she rose into the top 300 during her recuperation. She is currently WR 311 on 208 points.
