Interesting that Beth has picked up support as the final has gone on - in Groups and Semis she got 3 votes in each and in the final she has so far got 4, the only player to gain support.
I actually know very little about her and why she would gain support or her back story, clearly liked and done well in this event!
I hadnt realised she is the former Sarah Beth Askew, is the name change due to marriage or change in family circumstances?
I presume it is family circumstances - it was a litlle while go now. She was Beth Grey when I watched her at Felixstowe in 2016 !
Thanks TA - I hadnt realised she is so popular, is there a back story as her ranking doesnt suggest she would be... she doesnt even have an individua player thread on here!

Beth and Olivia Nicholls were a very successful doubles pair at W25 level before Liv got injured. And has been playing with Eden Silva recently at higher levels. Featured quite a lot in the women's section. I've met her several times, and had quite a long chat with her at Chiswick last year. Her ranking slipped during the ITF rankings fiasco, as she was one of those that played the W25's - and had some tough draws and narrow losses.
Yes, it's been great thanks Jon, to echo brittak's thanks too for launching this initiative. And it's been very pleasing to me to see such a wide range of Brit players being supported n this favourite poll. It helps to make all the coverage we collectively try and provide even for players not within the upper echelons of the game during 'normal' times seem worthwhile!

no worries and thanks - I had fun!
I am trying to think of another but, conversely , work will be busy over the next few weeks (luckily) so if anyone else has an idea, please go for it !!

Heather being the most popular womens player is reflected in her number of twitter folowers compared with Jo. However not sure whether her twitter followers actually still follow her these days, but Laura Robson has more than double the number of twitter followers than Heather.

I think if laura had still been active and included in this she would definitely have troubled the leaderboard. Alas we wont know for sure !
