David Law Tennis AMA 18/03/2020

Hello,.

Some new tennis action!

David Law of The Tennis Podcast, innumerable commentaries for all the broadcasters, and organising Queens Club for years, is doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) tonight @ 20:00.

If you're not familiar with an AMA, you cab type in questions, and the subject goes through them and answers as many as possible in the time. You interact directly with the subject in real time.

Should be interesting to either follow along, or ask questions yourself, and it's new tennis 'stuff'.

For anyone interested, it will be found here, at 20:00, 18/03/2020: https://www.reddit.com/r/thetennispodcast/

Reusing this rather than starting a new thread.

With new tennis content so thin on the ground, if you jave the craving, but have never tried a podcast, maybe now is the time.
The tennis Podcast have a new episode out, a Q&A with reknowned former player and commentator par excellance, Mary Carillo.
Mostly, it's just four tennis geeks nerding out together for the love of the sport.
If you decide to give it a go, may it bring to you, as it did to me, an hours light relief from all that avails us: https://play.acast.com/s/thetennispodcast/eeee64f8-e69a-4d4e-b6f4-332b5b84591b

I'll listen to this, thanks SQ. Mary Carillo played mixed with McEnroe of course and I have a feeling they won Wimbledon together or was it the french? They were good friends from New York childhood I recall.

Edit , it was the French in 1977.

She also lives in Naples Florida, one of my favourite places, eas there last june. Gosh how time flies.

If anyone needs something to fill the absence of live new tennis in their lives, The Tennis Podcast are trying something called, Tennis re-Lived, communal watch-alongs of old matches as if live. As follows:

TENNIS RE-LIVED*

In the absence of live tennis, we will be watching classic matches together over the next few months and recording podcasts immediately afterwards with our reaction, research and reminiscences. The first episode will be out on Monday 6th April when we will be discussing two classic Miami finals: Venus vs Serena from 1999 and Murray vs Ferrer from 2013. If you'd like to watch along with us, then Murray vs. Ferrer is available in full on Tennis TV, and Venus vs Serena can be found on Youtube:

Set 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maisBdaUjIw
