Live on Amazon Prime (and elsewhere presumably), third match on court 1

Speaking of Lyon, Amazon, and Court 1, you don't half miss the score on the screen when it's not there. There is a scoreboard at the venue which you can sometimes see, but it makes more background viewing much harder.

Decent picture, poor sound - and no scoreboard. Oh well, at least there is a stream

To be fair, I was fairly concerned when Amazon took the WTA rights from BT, and while it might make it less visible to potential new fans being away from a dedicated sports channel, from a personal perspective, it's largely been fantastic thus far, and I'm well on board.

I assume this is probably a general issue as well, not restricted to Amazon.

Yes I'm not keen on Amazon Prime I must admit... so I'm watching much less tennis as a result. I hate these paywalls, especially with such a large monopolistic company that doesn't pay its taxes and treats its workers as expendables muscling into everything. I know mine is not the popular view but it puts me off using their service

I'm actually watching more tennis, as it is easier for me to access !

Beth and Eden are a set and a break down at 2-6 0-1*

I totally agree Michael so you're not the only one.  I made a similar comment once before on this forum as I really miss watching the WTA on BT Sport.  Fortunately I was able to watch Emma at the weekend on the ITF live streaming which a small consolation but still not the same.

Yes, tennis is never going to be a major spectator sport whilst there are limited places to watch. Also agree about the bloodsucking companies.

Agreed about Amazon, but we are a nation that allowed, encouraged and rewarded Sky to dominate the broadcasting landscape of our country, and to reward their even more aggressively tax avoiding and anti-workers rights oligarch to such an extent that he now effectively has his fourth successive government enacting his entire agenda and terrified to cross him in case it lose them support.

Meanwhile, at the tennis in Lyon, here is the venue:

The grey court is great, it really contrasts the ball and makes following the play easier and more clear.
The pink surrounds are terrible, and entirely undo the good effect of the grey, as you can't see the ball against the pink when it's there, and can't follow the game at all. bleh

I think Amazon is great. You pay what you would do for prime anyway and you get prime TV included. I refused to pay Sky rates and watch far more tennis now.
