Some "interesting" players in the warm up event to the masters in the doubles draw (like Sascha Zverev). Top seeds are Nicholas Munroe and Jackson Withrow

In the Monterrey event, no doubles pairs for GB but we have James Ward playing Blancaneaux in singles Round 1

L48:  (3) Cameron Norrie WR 58 (CH = 41 last May) vs BYE

He will play Roberto Marcora or a qualifier in the last 32.

L48:  (WC) Keegan Smith (USA) WR 751 (CH = 749 at the start of last month) vs Ryan Peniston WR 388 (CH = 359 last November)

The winner will play Marcos Giron (14).

L48:  Liam Broady WR 230 (CH = 154 in April 2018) vs Brandon Nakashima (USA) WR 255 (= CH)

The winner will play Yuichi Sugita (7) in the last 32.

The top seed is Ugo Humbert, who has been given a WC, & the second seed Lucas Pouille.

 Cam should really be looking to get a good set of wins this week, good for confidence. 

Ryan can certainly win his opener, Giron will be tough. 

 

Liam playing Nakashima, he beat Cam didnt he last week and so will also be tough opponent, he seems highly rated based on ATP Tour site and a profile I saw of him.

The first second and 4th seeds all lost in the first round here. Lets hope the third seed does better.

 To be fair to the 2nd seed, Pouille, he has been injured. I'm not sure if he's played this year at all. But yes, let's hope Cam bucks the trend.

 And Humbert lost to Jack Sock which in the normal course of things (ie if Sock is anything like...) wouldnt be a surprise at all. I for one hope that Sock is making a return, no idea what was wrong with him (physical or personal?) but he is good for American tennis and that means good for world tennis

Ryan lost, was up 5-0 in the 2nd set and then lost in a tiebreak and Cam has withdrawn.
