Mandy was originally in the singles MD here but withdrew. Rather surprisingly though since she was not on the singles entry list, Anna Popescu has popped up here in the doubles draw, and she has a good partner too.

Interesting - Anna was entered for Heraklion qualifying this week, and I was wondering if she would appear in the doubles there. I'll add her to my list !

That's a very good win for Anna+ I wasn't expecting that

They are not on today's OOP, only 1 SF is, so theirs must be tomorrow.

They got a walkover into the final.

Both their opponents went out in the first round of the singles, so not sure of the reason.

Anna and Chiara pick up 30 pts for the week which I'm sure they will be happy about, as well as the little pay cheque. Their score in the final against the top seeds is a respectable one, especially in the first set.
