I'm going to start this thread now, since Seagull has indicated he cannot post until Monday now (with the versions he thought he had posted gong awol) and either he or FW can add the men's later.
For the women this is a more limited number of women involved compared with the previous few weeks. Interesting the South African tournament in the Cape, it is a while since they have held both a W25 event and one so early in the year. For the WTA events it will be interesting to see if Jo makes Mexico and hope Katie B will be fit too.
WTA
Monterrey $250K (Hard) - Konta, Watson
Indian Wells $125K (Hard) - Boulter, Dart
FUTURES
USA $25K (Hard) - Swan (Moore)
Turkey $25K (Clay) - (Carreras)
Australia $25K (Grass) - Bains
South Africa $25K (Hard) - Murray Sharan, Dunne, (Taylor)
Katie B is at least in Mexico, as per an Instagram story yesterday, so the signs are good that the Burel retirement wasn't serious, although still a bit concerning that she has retired or given a walkover in a number of events stretching back to the back end of last year. Still early days in her comeback, but will be difficult to build momentum if that keeps happening.
Edit - Acapulco is of course week 8, but the same applies that she (Katie) must intend to play.

Really disappointed about this week. The Murcia (Spain) Futures, which is the closest thing I have to a home tournament appears on the schedule. It is a couple of weeks later than previous years and for the first time in a while, it doesn't clash with any GB based futures, so I was hoping to see a smattering of up and coming Brits on the Entry list. But not a single one in either MD or Qualies.

for info, Mildura , like Geelong the following week is one of two ITF events on grass. I think they are the only two on grass now? The ITF site used to allow you to sort by surface and events such as Ireland and Japan came up, but they were artificial grass and are now called carpet apparently. Pakistan had a grass ITF event around 4 years back but it seemed to disappear and, of course we had Ilkley (now a Challenger), Frinton and Felixstowe before the LTA decided to cut back drastically on ITF events
