They'd both have had to qualify in Glasgow (bar a MDWC), yet here they are very high seeds, for the same level of tournament. Could be a wise move.

This win keeps Fran on 147 pts, as she has 5 pts coming off for Glasgow next week too... But if she gets one further in, it will giver her another 4 pts and take her 1 pt past Mandy into the GB #8 position. 

Edit: But have just seen that Mandy has drawn a lucky, lucky loser card in Cairo after losing heavily in the FQR... and faces a lower ranked qualifier in the first round...
