I see Eden has just withdrawn from the Glasgow ITF, so probably in line for another WTA Dubai WC of sorts.

Intereting. Eden and Beth flew out to Thailand via Dubai, so perhaps a stopover on the way back ?

They won a L32 round match together in Dubai ( then Premier 5 ) last year for 105 ranking points.

I just got an email from my old tennis club in Glasgow promoting the event this week. Entry is free all week apparently.

Lord, in Glasgow, there are currently TEN (!) main draw entrants from France in the men's event.

Shouldn't that get sent to the Monopolies Commission, or some such board? Are the FFT going to reimburse the LTA?

They are making the most of it - next year they'll probably need work permits !

Ah, I saw Beth was at Dubai airport this morning. Wonder if Eden got a MDWC, and presumably they will be playing doubles.

Edit: -And Vera is a 15 year-old, unranked junior

Yeah, I just noticed that about 5 mins. She can get into a W60 with a 450+ plus ranking, but Katy is still well short of Glasgow W25 with a 350 ranking. About 75% of the Kyoto main draw are home players, and the entry cut off could easily end up at 600.
