What tragic news this evening that basketball legend Kobe Bryant has been killed in a helicopter crash. He was an inspiration to so many people both within the world of basketball an beyond. He was just 41 years old and leaves a wife and 4 children. Let's not forget too that sadly 4 other people were also killed in the crash. Such a tragedy for all their families.

I dont follow basketball at all but had heard of Bryant. Sad news. It's a bit like someone such as Agassi or McEnroe dying in tennis terms and will have a massive impact on the sports fans.
This website rated him as the 5th best NBA player of all time, so effectively in the world.

Trouble is Trump looks to fancy turning it into a racial / police election if covid and hence the economy remain against him.
And I wouldn't be sure that such a strategy, and the numbers from the majorities vs the minorities, won't work.
Divide and rule
Despite Biden being ahead in the polls, I still fear that Trump could get in. Let's not forget that Hilary Clinton beat him quite easily in the popular vote but still lost. Voter suppression is my b biggest concern with Trump trying to defund the US Postal service to make it difficult to vote by post, while at the same time, closing voting stations in poorer areas.
I sincerely hope that Biden gets in and this is seen as the world starting to turn against populism and return to more normal times.
