Not sure it'll get Mark very far, given he now plays the 3rd seed. But lovely to see him get a really good, clutch win over someone 150 places higher than him.

Sadly, it didn't.

L16:  (3) Manuel Peña (ARG) WR 445 defeated Mark Whitehouse WR 688  by 3-6 7-6(2) 6-4 in two hours & 40 minutes  hmm

Mark had his chances in the first set two sets, but every time he got his nose in front in the second set, he was pegged back:  he broke the Argentine three times, but was broken back each time!  He even had a couple of break points in the twelfth game of that set.
