This is an Oracle Pro-Series event. Tara was top of the q list so should be in the MD together with Fran Jones.

It's good to see Emily Arb playing here too. A good first round q draw as well, but unfortunately if she wins here the FQR draw is not good as she is like to face the q1 seed, Pamela Montez WR 495.

Damn it, I thought Emily was going to snatch a great win there, but she blew it right at the end. She had 4 MPs on the MTB, 3 from 9-6 up, then a 4th at 10-9, but she lost the next 3 and 6 of the last 7 points to lose the MTB 12-10

Were *0-5 in the first set before they decided to get their year going.

Also I noted that a partnership involving Tara evidently served no double faults!

Well Tara served just 3 DF's today in her singles, and took the last three games for the loss of just three points to win 5 & 2.

There was a MTO before the last game, resumably for Brouleau as Tara had just hit her only three aces of the match in the previous game.

Shame if Lou was injured but for Tara to beat someone 100 places higher than her, that must be a nice feeling - well done!
