I think she's been training at Bath this week.

It obviously makes complete sense when you think about it, being December, but I was quite surprised when I loaded up the stream and saw them indoors. I've got the Marni match on.

Like Indy, I'm hoping for an Emma R vs Marni final, and that probably would have been the most likely outcome (in terms of odds) had it have been played during the summer when Marni was beating the likes of Sam and Eden on the back of a good showing at Sunderland W25, but since the Emily Arb BT win and subsequent injury withdrawal, she hasn't really hit the ground running and went 2-3 in her 3 attempts at Sharm W15 qualifying which was a bit disappointing (e.g. she lost 1-6 2-6 to someone who lost to Emilie LG in the main draw R1), so Lissey may be most likely depending on where Marni is currently at.

Still on serve through 5 games in her match with Emma W.

Are the SFs scheduled for today as well, or is it SF and F tomorrow?

I wouldn't write off Lissey.

I'm also looking forward to what Sonay brings.

Marni and Sonay have both been faves for a while so having them, and Emma Rad and Lissey, in the semis would be great.

The Marni - Emma match is a far better match than Lissey - Katherine

Kat Barnes is a little slow and has a really badly-coached habit of sticking the ball up even when she's not really under any pressure.

Lissey is making quite few errors, partly because she's trying to put something on the ball.

Emma plays nice tennis - a real US college style.

Marni is the most natural, and has some flair, but her game is not completely in place yet

Kat actually played better in the first half of the second set and was competitive. But got a bit disheartened and ended up losing the match 3-6 1-6

Yeah, I think Katherine was the weakest player in this field, certainly on paper anyway. She was coming into this winning a mere 5 games combined in defeats to Sally P and Sofia J a couple of months ago, and lost to Emma W 2-6 1-6 in July. She did actually beat Nadia in a MTB (as a 4/1 underdog), but that was the first time in her 5 matches this year that she'd been beyond 2 games in a set (before today).

Didn't see any of that match as I was watching Marni (and keeping tabs on Konjuh in the streamed W25), but Lissey won 6-3 6-1, so Emma R is up next on that court.

Going to be quite hard, trying to switch between 3 matches soon, unless Marni can wrap this up in 2.

(That was in reply to CDs earlier post, not the most recent one, as I was typing it up while the latter was being posted).

I'm not fully watching, but there must be about 12 deuces in this current Grace vs Emma match. I went to check on Sofascore, but the match isn't there, but it did say Emma vs Eden on Sunday, and then vs Katy D on Monday, so I assume the BotB draws must have been made.

Emma with the break. I think it was Grace with the most Advs in that very long game.

6-2 *2-1.
