Week 3 13/01/2025 Having that 'Friday feeling' this weekin singles are :-
W50+H India Lily M25 India Oliver C, M15 Germany Hamish, M15 Jamaica Blu, and in doubles : - CH75 Portugal David + Cleve W50 India Nakitha + Raina, W35 Guadeloupe Athina + Karolina M15 Germany Joe T + Adrian
We had a surprisingly successful start to AO2025 with six out of eight through to the second round. Sonay was up first and lost then Harriet got a Lucky Loser spot and made the best use of it by winning. Jodie, Jack, Jake, Emma and Katie won whilst Cam lost but had been ill and had to withdraw from the doubles. In the second round Harriet lost to the 18th seed, Jodie lost on a show court in a night match to the no3 seed, Jake and Jack (two of the J's) won, Katie lost and Emma also won. So in the third round we have Jake and Emma into unknown territory (R3 in the AO) and facing no 2 seeds, Jake facing Zverev and Emma facing Swiatek. Jack has an easier challenge in theory.
Qualifying for 2025 Junior Australian Open started on Wednesday. We had 5 hoping to make it through :- Mark Ceban, Conor Brady, Flora Johnson, Allegra Kopanec Davies and Brooke Black. Mark, Connor, Flora and eventually Brooke survived the first round. Mark and Brooke qualified . They will join Oliver, Mika, Mimi and Hannah in the Main Draw,

That's a doubles list and a half. I did notice that the wins seemed to be flowing today. . Singles wasn't the strongest of line-ups from the off this week. Let's at least be taking the Glasgow M25.
Looks a great list - but unfortunately not giving much joy as the only women to win today were Esther and Victoria in the all-Brit SF in Glasgow.
Hope the men can do/have done better !

Yes, I'd noticed that the doubles that I had commented on was all going a bit pear-shaped today
I believe doubleswise we are at 1 win and 8 losses so far ( including a w/d ) with yes the win from an all GB match. 5 more remain including 2 in another all GB match ( our men folk as you say ).
At least fair to say a pretty good looking effort in defeat from Emily App+ in their WTA 500 SF.
