The U18 Junior National Champioships has been taking place this week.

The 2024 Boys Singles Final: Oliver Bonding v Charlie Robertson

The 2024 Girls Singles Final: Hannah Klugman v Mimi Xu

The 2024 Boys Doubles Champions : Jay Johnson-Hauldren and Rhys Lawlor

The 2024 Girls Doubles Champions : Mika Stojsaljevic and Mimi Xu

 

Our elite ladies - Katie B, Heather, Harriet, Fran and Emma - face France on Friday and Saturday as they bid for a spot in

the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Finals. The tie takes place ion indoor clay court in Le Portel in northern France. You can

watch the tie live on BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer. Friday's tie is also on the BBC Red Button from 13:30 BST.

There will be updates on the relevant thread on the forum.

 In singles - aye     But at least Emile has now won ( beating the 36 yo former top 100 player (2) Kenny de Schepper WR 550 in 3 sets ) to get into the France M15 SF for Saturday.

Quite a few doublers left though, including some already into finals.

A few of our top juniors took part in the J500 at Offenbach on the clay (preparing for RG) however most crashed out leaving just Charlie Robertson who has reached the Quarterfinals in Singles. He has also reached the Quarterfinals in the Doubles. Hannah and Mimi together have made the Semifinals in the Doubles.

 

This is the first week of ATP/WTA 1000 Madrid. Surprisingly Harriet qualified and joined the 4 already in the singles Main Draw, (wc) Emma, Jack, and the seeds Katie B and Cam who were given a bye in the first round. Emma and Harriet fell in the first round so our hopes rest with Jack, Cam and Katie. The Men's Doubles Draw is not up yet but in the Women's Doubles Katie B + partner won their first round and Heather and her partner play on Friday.

There were plenty of women in the draws on Thursday - and almost all of them lost.
