Thanks DF, into action again for 2026.

Of course, Sonay and Fran have made the QFs in Auckland which they are playing overnight here and certainly Friday daytime in Auckland. So they both truly have the Friday feeling.

We had a notable NINE in AO Men's Qualifying 2026 Billy Harris, Jan Choinski, Dan Evans, Oliver Crawford,

Jack P J, Arthur Fery, Ryan Peniston, George Loffhagen and Jay Clarke. George made it through to the FQR where

he was beaten by the American Basavareddy in three sets. Arthur qualified. He joins the two already in the Main

Draw of the Australian Open 2026 Cameron Norrie and Jacob Fearnley. We eventually had two in AO Women's

Qualifying 2026 - Harriet Dart and young Mimi Xu. Harriet made it to the second round but there were no

qualifiers this year. There are four in the Main Draw - Emma Raducanu, Sonay Kartel, Fran Jones and,

by the skin of her teeth, Katie Boulter.

We began with seven in our first Grand Slam of 2026 - Arthur our qualifier, Jacob and

Cam for the Men and Katie, Fran, Sonay and Emma for the Women. Three made it through

to the second round our seeds (Cam and Emma) and Arthur who was brilliant in beating

the seeded Cobolli. Then Arthur and Emma lost in straight sets but Cam won.

Rosie Cho was our sole representative in Qualifying for Junior AO2026 but was unsuccessful.

So we only have Mark Ceban and Hollie Smart in the Main Draw this year.

Various tournaments are weather affected this week.

Tbf to SC, originally that was before the non Slam singles players list and DF then says "and in doubles" and lists the non Slam doubles players. The cut does then confuse things a bit.

I'm not that bothered but just saying ...

No I have not - as per request from Brendan F months ago- this thread is set up to name those who made the latter stages of tournaments. The

complaint then was that there were too many names on the list if I listed the names of players in two weekly tournaments. So I list them for myself

for next week but do not show them following the complaint. I also write a synopsis of the singles . I usually leave the doubles although sometimes

the doubles have barely started.

I'm surprised that you have only just noticed.

Big drum roll - to borrow from CD - we have started 2026 well with Hannah Klugman reaching no 1

status in the Junior ranking last week, emulating Laura Robson who also managed this feat, and Neal Skupski

who is WR1 (again) in the doubles after winning the doubles title in Australia with his new partner Christian.

A welcome return to Jack Draper who is in the GB team facing Norway in the

Davis Cup Qualifier Round 1. Both Jack and Cam won today in Oslo.
