We had a brilliant start to the US Open. First kudos to Lily for qualifying and making seven in the main draw. Then we had a clean sweep

with everyonw winning their first match. Lily lost to the seeded Bencic, Jodie lost to second seed Sabalenka and Sir Andy lost to seeded Dimitrov but

Jack is through to the third round as is Katie B, Cam and Dan.

Qualifying for Junior US Open ends today and we have two who are still in contention. Luca hopes to jpoin Henry and Oliver and Mika hopes to join Ella,

Mimi, Hannah and Isabelle (via special exempt) in the main draw.

A brief update. Anton, Hamish and Giles survived in the singles and Beth and partner are winner.gifs.

Congrats to Mika who qualified and will be in the Junior US Open which starts on Monday.

The US Open, the last Grand Slam of the year, is neariing its end and Joe and Rajeev will be in the Final (for the third consecutive time)

tonight. Well done to them and all best wishes. Also a toast to 14 year old Hannah Klugman who reached the Quarter Finals in the

Junior Girls Singles and Doubles (with Mimi) but had to retire from the singles and pulled out of the doubles as she was unwell.

The big news is that Joe & Rajeev won the USO title for the third year in a row!  biggrin  Liam & Harry are still going strong, as are Luke Johnson with Skander Mansouri & Oscar Weightman alongside Niklas Schell, but Matt Summers lost, as did Millen Hurrion/Robin Bertrand & James Markiewicz/Mike Shaw.  SCOTT Duncan & Marcus Willis bit the dust, while Billy Harris lost out to Liam in both singles & doubles.  All in all, quite a day for the men.

Elbert Barr & partner have yet to get under way in Argentina.

Off topic, the mention of a Stuart reminds me:  anyone know what's become of Stuart Parker?

Looks like the girls have gone missing from the list in SC's post.

Lissey and Liv won their SF this morning before DF posted, and the final is 11am local time.
Katie won her doubles SF and her final follows a mens SF tomorrow morning.

And Emily and Valeria won their W40 doubles final

Lets not forget the wheelchair players - Alfie into the mens singles final now, Gordon leading his semifinal and Andy Lapthorne to come later in his quad semifinal and then Andy has the quad doubles final tomorrow as well!

Britain are bidding to reach the Quarter Finals of the Davis Cup from Group B taking place in Manchester this week,They defeated Australia 2:1

and face Switzerland next then France. The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the knock out stage in Malaga in November.
