One advantage of being on holiday in the US - the time difference is exactly 12 hours, so I can follow the scores at a sensible time.

Harriet is first on court 4 at 10am (i.e. right now), Emily is second on Centre Court - and there my be a stream as the opener is being shown.
Sofia and Emily play their doubles fourth match on court 2 - which also might be streamed.

Just 2 more gsmes, and Harriet retires at *0-2. Had a couple of break points in the last game, so hopefully it isn't too serious.

Our female players just haven't been able to get going this year (bar Jo and Heather) for a sustained run e.g. Harriet, the Katie's, Jodie, Fran etc. It a a shame.

This moves Emily back up to LR 477. At 19 pts so far, this tournament is already her biggest counter and if she were to win the battle of the qualifiers it would be another 12 pts. However, even though very sad to see Harriet seeming injured again Plipuech still has a much higher ranking than Emily.

Harriet hasn't withdrawn from the doubles yet . if she takes part in the QF or not we'll know how serious she thinks she's injured,

Em and Sofia won the first set 6-3 but are making a complete hash of the 2nd set. Lost from 40-15 in the last game to concede a double break, after failing to win either of 2 BPs the previous game.

Finally one break back.. At the moment 6-3 *1-4
