Tara is going along well now - 6-3 4-1.

I got slightly nervous when the first set went from 5-1 to almost 5-4 but she broke to deuce for 6-3

Tara has just won 6-3 6-2.

Hope she has a few wins in the months to come and gets her ranking back up.

Brilliant.

And Tara wins 3&2 and makes the MD of the 60k

As some people said in the Roehampton thread, nice to see some of the 'old-timers' hitting form and getting back up the rankings a bit. Tara's certainly one of those with the possibility of making a mark in our top 10 once again.

Add: crossed with Ian smile

Good win for Tara and already she has gained a useful 5 points this week, and back nearer the top 500 again.

Q slots in the MD are mostly quite good, with two Q vs Q slots. Another 8 points at stake for a first round win.

Just saw the main draw and it's an interesting field, even if predominantly US focused. Coco Vandeweghe continues her comeback and has a MDWC. A few decent youngsters like Li, Baptiste and Volynets, and good to see Bouchard (who's now lost 12 in a row) dipping back to the ITFs, instead of relying on WTA WCs.

Yep 2 Q vs Q as Michael says, also Shelby Rogers, Olmos, a MDWC who I've not heard of, and her doubles parter Bektas, who I'm pretty sure she's now dating, so that would be interesting.

From Bektas instagram I would agree with what you say, Ace, it does appear she and Tara are together.

I'm sure they are. They've been travelling and playing doubles together for some months now.

Yes, and wonderful to see Tara get one of those 2 Q vs Q draw slots!

I wonder when it is going to become more common on the men's tour for doubles partners to date/ marry.
