Well to qualify in a W60 tournament both players couldn't really have asked for better draws.

FQR: Eden Silva (GBR) [q1] 451 vs Ana Filipa SANTOS (POR) [q14] 1098 (CH:832)
FQR: Sarah Beth Grey [q5] 623 vs Iveta DAPKUTE (LTU) [q16] 1140 (CH:1137)

Four Portuguese missing from the qualifying draw, so they'll be the wild cards.

Eden and Beth both due on court shortly - both matches should be streamed.

Well, on a joint basis, the girls have won 9 games, lost zero

Very nice from both our players.

Eden in particular made it look very easy and elegant.

Two good wins. Let's hope for decent draws.

Shame Em didn't play. 5 points for qualifying would have taken her near to the top 500 again.

Well done Eden and Beth, very straightforward.

It looked as if Eden only needed to get the ball in court to win the point. Little wobble from Beth in the second, failed to serve it out at 5-2.

Em appears to have stayed in London :(

I hope Em is ok. This would have been a good event to pick up another decent doubles counter.

Great chance for Eden and Beth to win a big title.

Interesting match up for Eden - they've played twice in the past 10 months and the 2 outcomes were very different. She lost 0 and 0 in the UK last November, but managed to avenge that in Portugal in April by winning 5 and 2. Not sure if this forthcoming meeting is the same surface as that without checking, but the fact they are in the same country might be a psychological boost for her.

They have a bye into the quarter finals. Only bye in the draw :)
