Since taking up with Samm, Liam certainly seems to have decided to be a far more 'net' player. He's serving and volleying regularly and coming to the net whenever he can.
It's not a bad idea. He gets into the grinder routine too easily in many of his matches and just isn't quite consistent and deep enough to make it work.
And he's quite nippy and quick at getting in, not bad at the volley, and his swingy lefty serve sets up some quite easy serve and volleys too.
It's not going to be a miracle worker but it seems a reasonable tactic.
