We won't tell them if you use the correct spelling

But then what is the "correct spelling"?

There are different spellings in different countries.

Think I'll have an early night

Or rather just hide while following Williams vs Andreescu.

This is a good test for Ryan - he sort of built his ranking quietly when the ITF M15 points didnt count and suddenly jumped quite high when the process changed back to something akin to sensible. He had a couple of good runs in British Futures events early in the year and I have no doubt 378 is a good reflection of his current place in the game. Tommy Paul will clearly be tough and probably beat him but I hope Ryan can put up a decent showing as I think he has plenty of fight in him.

L32:  (1) Andreas Seppi (ITA) WR 77 (CH = 18 in January 2013 - he's now 35) vs Liam Broady WR 266  bleh

What the hell's Seppi doing in a piddling little Challenger at this level? disbelief   furious  That said, I guess the same could apply to Paul, the third seed (Frat Boy - WR 129) & the fourth (Giron - WR 126)!  disbelief

Well it's in the usa so the 3 guys you mentioned that are us players have probably got sound reasons to play here. Theres a whole series of us challengers starting now and some decent points to be made without much travel time or cost.

Oh why was Andy or Tsonga playing at this level recently. Players...want to play. What else or where else this week can they do that?

This autumn (fall) us challenger series from cary, through Columbus, Fairfield, tiburon, Las Vegas and one or two other places is a great chance to build momentum and travel and eat and stay easily in a developed country at low cost. If I was ranked around 100 I'd play that series over qualies in europe in the cold or asia in the heat.

Plus dont they link these events to an aussie open wild card for the us players? I'll need to check back but sure there has historically been a link.

Ryan seems to have given a reasonable account of himself.  Certainly not disgraced:  he was two breaks down in the first set, for example, & a single break in the second.
