I can't believe Gabi's drawn the top seed! It really does feel as though everything is against her at the moment. Winning would be the perfect tonic but somehow I just can't see it.

A tight second set with Mandy broken twice, considering her opponent has no ranking or junior record to speak of, but Mandy is at least through with another 5 pts. Plays the winner of Gabi's match next. Would be lovely if Brit vs Brit, but that's not what I'm expecting. As Super T says, Gabi could really do with a break at the moment, and doesn't seem to be getting one!

Gabi has been replaced by a lucky loser - she was on the order of play earlier today as the last match on court 1, but the live scores now show Haas playing Tomanova

I've just see that and come on here to make the same comment. What on earth is going on with Gabi? Will she play again? I'm not convinced.
