Thanks FW, certainly could have been a worse draw.

I see that we have no GB players in the women's doubles draw.

I guess with Heather our highest ranked at WR 116 the only realistic chance was Jo in on her singles ranking but I wasn't expecting to see that.

Some tricky matches there - the FO winners, two decent (home) singles players, the unpredictable Nick K, Paire who is just coming off a good run in WS (& who is having a good year in general)

Good stuff with our two seeded pairs leading the way.

Another chance that Joe could become GB #1 ranked.

He is currently live 95 points ahead.

20. Joe S : 3410 - 0 + 90 = 3500 points
21. Jamie M : 3675 - 360 + 90 = 3405

L64: Luke Bambridge & Ben McLachlan (JPN) CR 97 (55+42) beat (WC) Thai-Son Kwiatkowski & Noah Rubin (USA/USA) CR 512 (248+264) by 4-6 6-1 7-6(4)

Bit of a struggle there, broken when serving for it at *5-4 in the 3rd set, but they eventually get across the line.

Easy win for Jamie & Neal, although the first four games were a bit ropey.

Dom and partner lost sadly to krawietz and maes,  and pushing jamie down to live 23rd in the process.

Watched Paire in his singles yesterday & the doubles today. He was diabolical! If this had have been Tomic, etc. the press would have had a field day regarding tanking. Utter disrespect for opponents, fans & the game.

Shappo & Bopanna take out PHH & Mahut for the loss of only 4 games.
