Am I correct in thinking that as a WC, Billy will not get the 10 points for a R1 unless he gets a win ? Of course he would then get R2 points.

Correct. He would drop 16 points as a mandatory 0 replaced his 16 points for reaching the FQR last year.

Let's be getting at least 50 ( net 34) points for reaching R2.

50 ?  Has that changed ?  I always thought it was 45 for an R1 win in a slam.  Perhaps I missed something.

 Yes, the ATP singles points have changed this year ( not the doubles ). For Slams it is 10 (for non WCs) / 50 / 100 / 200 / 400 / 800 / 1300 / 2000

Post-Wimbledon, our rankings don't look great - no big jumps as you'd like to see. And both Jan and Liam are now outside the top-200.
Jake Fearnley is the only really star performer in the top end of the rankings, coming in from the hinterlands a few weeks ago to now be closing in on the top-200
Lower down, bravo to Toby Martin for getting back into the top-1000 after a long time away. And to 18 year-old Luca Bluett for his frist ATP ranking

Jake coming into the top 250 gives us 12 at that level now, a big group of players in that 200/275 range now - going to make the challenger level events interesting for British men watching for the next few months.

Well done to everyone who's risen up the rankings, but especially to Paul. Fingers crossed for Billy and Jake to make it across those thresholds.
