Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere already but what do we think is the strategy for Jay here? Playing clay after grass and during the US hard court swing with US Open Qualies just a few weeks away seems like a strange choice (even if under normal circumstances I like seeing Brits try and improve on clay).
Oh dear that's two quite poor results here. Not sure why he decided to not play the US challengers with the rest of the GB contingent and where he was so successful last year.
His Twitter is still reasonably up to date. He was practicing at the Mouratoglou (yes, him) Academy post W. Wonder if it's something to so with his new management deal, as he was also supposed to play the world team tennis and then didn't.
