Jay takes the first set t-b .... just

He was 5-2 up. Geoff got back to 5-5. Jay served a DF, giving Geoff a SP at 5-6. Geoff then serves a DF. And Jay wins the next two points....

It's an interesting match-up between the two.

Both young men are the same age, born within a couple of weeks of each other.

Geoff B got to be JWR 5, but - like many - has not really transitioned in adults as he (and others) would have liked. He's ATP 384, CH 266.

Jay obviously got to be JWR 15 which is not shabby either , but not top-5. And yet he is currently ATP 184, CH 153.

GB is certainly having conniptions about the state of court, and is all over the place with his balance and push. But he's always a bit gangly to me....

Jay's leading 4-2 in teh second. But it's not over yet....
