Not the best of finishes to the first set either. Just 4 points won on serve out of 16.

0-6 0-2*

Double bagel. Naomi won 9 points

What on earth has happened to her? Sad to see.

Given that Naomi can hardly win at the lower level tournaments and hasn't for some time now, it's not that surprising to see such a brutal scoreline.
It is in fact more surprising she got into the draw at all!

Maybe doubles will be better...

Very sad compared to what she surely could / should be. Indeed was as a top 100 ranked player having learnt ( well, been taught ) to make the best of her serve.

The rest of her game has clearly always had limitations but was for a time at least good enough to support that serve to get into the top 100. Yes, she split ftom Fitzy for starters but even then I don't understand how the serve has reverted to comparatively such an inconsistent shambles? And with it the rest of her game has regressed too

Oh, while not great viewing, for her to have had the single mindedness of one of the leading male serve bots.

FWIW, with Heather having 185 SF Premier points to drop from last year and yet to play her San Jose R1 match, Naomi is for now the live GB doubles #1 at live WR 127.

Live points :

1. Naomi 594
2. Heather 567
3. Harriet 561

Beth & Eden will each move up to the 480s points if as #1 seeds they win the Woking 25K title.
