Should also mention that Les Contamines-Montjoie is some site. High up in the Alps, within close sight of Mont Blanc and other snow-topped peaks, and as about as far east in France as you can get - it's actually south-east of Geneva. Some place to be this time of the year, though I would imagine still cold nights. But breathtakingly spectacular views and sights.

Ali will play the q5 seed in the FQR, who managed just to turn her match around to clinch a 2nd set TB and then the MTB. Over twice as long on court as Ali, which I hope will help Ali later in the day.

Lissey unfortunately has 19 pts coming off her ranking next week from reaching the W25 SF in Gatineau last year as a qualifier, so is going to have a huge fall in ranking next week - -68 places to LR 558 at the moment, which will also mean her falling from GB #16 to #20.

Ali has lost the first set 3-6.

In the doubles she will play with Bejenaru (ROU). They are 4th seeds with a bye in the first round.
