It could have been over earlier:  Liam & Scott were a break up in the middle of the second set.

Cracking match.

A thrill to see young Alex de Minaur. And the way Matt Reid was being mentor and 'helping' him in the doubles.

But great to see our lads doing so well, going up, getting pegged back, with a nail-biter tie-break where Liam went from zero to hero in the final few points, netting a sitter volley, to allow it to get back to 8-8, only to pull off a truly excellent winning inside out return, and then to fire down a service winner.

Brilliant biggrin

Amazing that we can still call him "young" when it seems so long ago I was watching him pay futures in Murcia.

Liam Broady got a ball abuse warning, says "come on man, people have been doing that all week." Umpire says "I haven't seen one person do that and not get a code."

Great to see them all having fun in the doubles.

And for someone like Lloyd it's a big deal.

This doubles alone gives him about £1,240.

For someone who is listed on the ATP as having earned $8,745 this year (about £6,900), it's a tidy increase.

And an important 45 points.

And counting.....

Bambo does get the most amazing crack on the ball though, it's like a rifle shot sometimes. And wins the 'most amazing athletic shot ever award' yesterday, leaving David Sammel literally saluting him.

I even quite like doubles sometimes.....

From the schedules on live scoring, I assume the doubles semis have been cancelled today and will be on tomorrow instead?

Good that Dan must feel OK after apparently nearly retiring vs Copil in his singles SF.
