Done and dusted 4&2. Well played Dan. Thought he controlled the match well during the 2nd set.

Good win, comfortable overall and onwards to semis.

I was trying to fathom scheduling - they seem to just be using centre and court 1 today, next up are two womens last 8 matches, then the other mens and then the other womens. No way they will finish 3 more sets of matches by 8.30 pm, presumably the schedule isnt up to date and they will put some matches onto other courts? Or not? Anyone down there reading this able to give an idea of what is being planned?

Yes, I agree. That was a polished performance. He looked well within his comfort zone.

It's only Centre court and Court 1 that have covers (unless they've brought in any more since Wednesday)

So the other courts will be way too soggy, I'd have thought, to be playable

makes sense now - what surprises me is that they didnt try to play all mens or all womens as first two matches, to try and get at least one of the events to the semis stage. The way they have done it (M,W,M, W)means they are quite likely to have 2 men and 2 women through (if it doesnt rain) and then the other 4 men and women playing their QF matches in the morning and then a second match in the SF stage against a rested opponent in the afternoon...

They do have 2 men through from the same half. So the Evans vs Copil SF is ready to go tomorrow.

And they had 2 women's QFs from the same half as the next matches on court. Though looks like that may be it for the day.

So in fact SF opponents and potential opponents have been kept pretty much on the same schedules.

Dan has played copil once before and that was also at surbiton in 2016. Dan was top seed and got thrashed. However , tennis abstract rate it as 55-45 with Dan as favourite.

Copil despatched the second seed, Matt Ebden, by 3 & 2 in his QF...

He may get tired from all the chuntering he was doing to himself and his poor coach but not the running around. smile. Granollers looked the far more exhausted from the proceedings.

Bit jealous about Nottingham. I'm going to Eastbourne but not until the Friday so maybe a bit optimistic to see any Brits apart from maybe Jo.
