I agree. There seem to have been a number of 6-1, 1-6, anything might happen results recently!

On Twitter and on forums they call it "a peak WTA" result when it's a topsy turvy result so it's definitely something of a "thing"

I'm loving it. Any match can go anywhere. Precious few routine Rafa 1,1 & 1 type snore-fests.

Yes, generally no idea where the final set is going. Don't fall into the trap after A sails through the first set and B reverses that in the second set that B clearly now has the momentum and will go on to win. Maybe aye, maybe nae smile

Has it not always been this way in wta events? No evidence but I've always felt it was a thing as FW said.
