Evan Hoyt-does he deserve Grass Season Wildcards?

Hoyt is now ranked in the top 10 of the ITF, (I still do not know what this means), does he deserve WC for the grass season.

When will Hoyt start playing on the challenger tour and not ITF?

For challenger events, yes.

Yes Jon, I'd agree re challengers if needed. Not ATP tour generally. I would think in the discussion for Wimbledon qualifying. Not sure what that means as a vote.

Vandy, Evan is in the top 10 for points won in events below challenger level. So that's good in one way but ultimately you want to be not winning ( currently ITF ) points in 15K/25Ks but rather ATP points at challenger level and above which he has yet to do this year and time marches on, while of course he has had major injury issues in the past

Wont he qualify direct for the grass challengers through ITF places?

Possibly , guess it depends who enters, but question was does he deserve a wild card...I'd say if he needs one he deserves to get one

Challengers and a QWC for Wimbledon would be appropriate. Not ATP at this time.

As I said in another thread, there are no ITF places in 100Ks.

 THat's women, isn't it?

There are reserved slot in men's challengers.

From the ITF site:

- ATP Challenger tournaments (men) will reserve 4 places in the Main Draw for the top ITF-ranked players who enter, and an additional 3 places in the Qualifying Draw.

There are no ITF reserves places in Challenger 125 events. Only 80 and 110. Evan will need a WC.

Tx, tramlines. I do find the system confusing......

However, Evan is playing the British Tour Grass event this week. So that'll get him some practice on grass. (As is Lloyd, Ryan P and others)
