That's a really good contingent on the women's side and it's great to see those outside the top 300 getting directly into W25 events and Laura getting into qualifying. However, if she stayed in the Singapore list, then she'd have actually been just 2 out with her ranking of 744 and would get in if there were no SE's.

Good to see you back Seagull!

And yes, staying in the Singapore draw would likely have enabled Laura to get back her ranking without even having to play a match. In Japan it will certainly be different, as she will highly likely have to beat a higher ranked, probably Japanese, player to reach the MD and gain that counter. Good to see her in the draw at least though, and hope she stays in it.

Welcome back Seagull - and may your team win on Saturday !

Laura left all her entries in, and the automatic withdrawal took her out of Singapore. She was around Q14 about 30 mins before the AWD

I see that Katy D has withdrawn from the Korea 25K so will have got very little out of her dash to the Far East following her Spain 60K triumph. Due back in Spain for a 25K in week 22.

Just having a look at the W Jerusalem list and there's been a few key withdrawals including Bolkvadze, who would have been top seed, and Clara Tauson, so EWS has made it into the main draw. Daria Lopatestka is now the top seed, but there's been pictures of her on social media today in a wheelchair following her successful surgery, so she's surely not going to play and that would then allow Sam into the main draw.

Jodie would be a clear 2nd seed and Sam probably making the draw at 573 shows it's not the strongest. Looking at the list there doesn't seem too many players where you'd say I hope she avoids her early, Tauson would have definitely fit that criteria, although I see the Greek girl who beat her in Monzon is there...

Lopateska - Elina Svitolina paid/helped pay for her surgery. She will be out for a while for sure.

Except she has scratched at the last minute and so is not in the actual draw made this evening.
