Interestingly, if the rest of tennis hasnt taken this route, I wonder if it has any repercussions for points etc - if there is a blanket ban that is one thing, but if one tournie goes alone, it sort of stands out from a points allocation perspective.
Noting I am in general terms in favour of a ban across tennis at the moment, so I am just wondering out loud on that point about points
This will mean the cut offs will be extended for main draw and qualifying and chances that a few more GB players will be direct entrants to either MD or QD and free up further wildcards.

Once again the Grand Slams are showing they can just do whatever the f they want. There needs to be a more unified approach.
And I don't think banning individuals from earning a living is a good thing either.
I do agree it should be a unified approach and tennis should have a plan/strategy here that is common.
In the case of Russia and the Ukraine crisis, I am for banning individuals and think they should all have been banned/suspended and remain suspended until this is over and Russia stops - but we have been over this and it is what it is.
On another front, Dan suddenly comes back into seeding contention and players like Jack Draper and Liam may get a shot at direct entry to Wimbledon, if they are able to get their rankings up a few more notches.

That's because the governing bodies have difference stances - the WTA are happy for the Russian/Belarusian to play. Mainly because they bring in finances and there are lots of them. There may also be a legal case regarding right to work especially if they are not resident in their representative country.
