Main draw out now and Alicia has drawn another WC, but again, like last week, she could play the seeded Yadlapalli in R2 who went on to reach the final last week. Still, if she can pocket the 5 points for a R1 win and see what happens after that, then it will be continued progress.
Shleyn is 17 and received a QWC last week and lost 1-6 0-6 in Q1, however, I've just noticed that the qualifier she faced actually went on to beat Yadlapalli in the final. That was her first match of 2019, but there were also heavy defeats in the few matches she played last year, so you'd like to think she wouldn't cause too many problems.

Sam was *5-2 up and 5-3 40-0*, from when she lost 11 of the next 13 points. But she has just broken and will have a third attempt to serve the set out.
And this time succeeds, 7-5

Was caught up in Jodie match, but well done Sam. I remember the opponent being someone who pushed Emma very close the other week on her run to that Israel 15k final.
I guess looking back, she was just a bit unlucky with her draws in the recent GB event, losing to Paar both times. Paar has been in great form recently - losing narrowly to Dart in the French W60 QF (coming through quals), then coming through quals in Bolton losing to Emma (that looks a great win for Emma) and then obviously coming through quals to win Sunderland, beating Harriet in the final, and this week she has come through quals in a German W60 and thrashed one of France's best prospects, Diane Parry 6-1 6-2 yesterday.
She plays a fellow Q in the next round, Shalimar Talbi, who advanced in a Q vs Q match. Talbi is 18 and I thought I recognised the name - she has primarily competed on the 15k scene this year, but did beat Emma in Portugal last September.
