Oh dear. I thought she'd be going to Cluj-Napoca. Turning that down for a 500 is a clear indication that her "fresh start" is to go straight back into 500s and 1000s and not as many of us had hoped, me included, that it would be a more natural rebuilding of her ranking in lower tournaments that she'd skipped over with her USO victory.
Uodate! Now reporting Emma may play lower level tournaments for practice, must be listening to you Lambda! Depends on what she and her team classify as lower level? WTA 250, some 125s..?

Emma Raducanus registered company has been using a little-known accounting loophole that delays the publication of its annual accounts. The 21-year-old British tennis player set up Harbour 6 in 2020 and is the sole director of the company.

Not sure re the delay to the accounts and how that rule works- typically one is required to submit accounts 9 months after year end - for my company year end is June 30, so Ive to submit by end March; Im waiting to do mine as soon as my accountant is done with self assessment year end next week!
the value of profit discussed in the accounts thread on tennis forum does seem low. I wonder if much of her income is being paid personally and held in trust offshore or some such, and not going through her company? And not being touched at the moment by her? £459k seems a perfectly adequate amount to live on for now as profit assuming shes paying that to herself in dividends.

Try this. Interesting that comments on the article aren't being allowed...
I doubt it's anything sinister. Disappointing for the press to go after this when so many sports stars are tax exiles. It's admirable that Emma still lives at home in Bromley when she could easily have gone to Monte Carlo or Dubai where half the players on the tour live.
