Week 15 - ATP 250 - Grand Prix Hassan II - Marrakech, Morocco (clay)

L32:  (3) Kyle Edmund WR 22 (CH = 14 last August) vs Ugo Humbert (FRA) WR 63 (= CH)

Kyle was the second seed here last year, but lost out in the final to the unranked Pablo Andújar by 2 & 2.  Zverev is on a wild card & is the top seed.

Tsonga has a WC too and he or Stebe is Kyle's potential R2 opponent.

A further WC has gone to (2) Fognini. Kyle is in Zverev's half.

Good for them, both Jamie and peers are back with their real partners for monte carlo but clearly feel they need court time.

Dom is also with bopanna for mc so maybe they are planning on full clay swing together. With their serves I'd like to see them on grass also

And Kyle has the first set, 6-3. Looking comfortable based on scoring?

L16: (3) Kyle Edmund WR 22 (CH = 14 last August) vs (WC) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) WR 116 (CH = 5 in 2012) Surprised in a way that JWT's CH is from so long ago but he was a mainstay of the top 10 for ages. Tsonga is a wee fave of mine.

In my opinion Kyles best surface, Admittedly he has the odd off day but I really enjoy watching him through this part of the season.
