It looks weird to see someone ranked SO much lower than his unseeded opponent being seeded so just to add that Pol W is also ATP 595

... and that is a flaw with the current 2 tier system which favours ATP rankings even with a 15K tournament.  Someone can pick up a few ATP points by getting wildcards to bigger tournaments and are then catapulted into seeding positions in 15Ks.  It could be argued that this rewards smaller nations who host tournaments by giving them players who are guaranteed entry into tournaments, but it makes a bit of a mockery of seeding in these bottom tier tournaments. 

I note he actually won a round in the Bangkok challenger he was WC into (vs Bradley Mousely) but the issue still stands in general.
