Not surprised to seen them pair up. Although Neal is high enough to play the masters. Both have partners who are US based or at least have reasons to be in the US. While both these guys are UK based. The two masters tournaments leave an awkward period for those who are 250 doubles players but not quite high enough for the masters as it means they have about 5 weeks without a tournament at there current level.
Good stuff though re points they need to be to be reaching the final of this challenger before either will add to their counting ranking points and then they really need to win it to add more than a few points.
Jonny's lowest counter is currently 40 points and Neal's ( or rather Ken's ) 45. The winners here get 80 points and the runners up 48.

QF: Fabrício Neis & David Vega (BRA/ESP) CR 240 (130+110) beat (2) Jonny O'Mara & Ken Skupski CR 108 (48+60) by 6-2 7-6(8)
Jonny and Ken missed out on a total of 5 SPs in the 2nd set TB ( 3 on serve ) starting from *6-3.
Both of them might be saying "where is Neal when you need him!".
Seriously, this was nothing more than a training interlude I reckon, onto Houston and more serious business. Unless they are all down for Monterrey Challenger next week?
