no seeds left in the bottom half now all knocked out, of the 3 remaining alex is one, and gimblestob and bozolijac play each other in the other qf, a boggo bozo sf would be nice.

Alec plays Niemeyer at 8.00pm local time tonight.

Bozo really served well at the DC in the doubles but Parmar saw him off in the singels so if Alex can get through then I cannot see Bozo beating him if he gets passed Gimlestob.

Im not sure if the pts here is 55/38/24/13/5/1 for a $50+H ? It could be 50/35/22 etc...?

Based on this assumption.....

So far he has gained 24 pts this week...I dont think he is defending anything this week...which could take him up between 5-10 places.

Getting to the semis would bring 38 pts a possible rise to the low 130's.

If Alex can win his third challenger of the year then his pts would rise from 284 to (+55) to 339 which might be good enough to get him into the mid 120's.

Alex list of 18 events from Tennisfacts.......

Yes, it would be great to see Boggo get into the top 100 sometime soon.  I think it would be a huge boost for his confidence.

He is defending 5 points from Mexico City Challenger last yesr, and note that presuming this is a 55 point event, he's just on 13 points just now. 24 and 38 are for reaching the semis and final respectively.

If he were to win the tournament, he's go to 334 points,  which should certainly be enough to get into the top 130.

as far i am aware it only a 25k + h points event, the 37.5k ones are quiet rare, the next most common step up is 50k+h which is worth 60pts to winner (like Bergamo)

ATP have it as a (H) 50$ on their pdf calendar but 25$+H on the ATP site ?

25k+h and 50k (no h) are the same points, most of the us events dont offer hospitality, most of the european ones do for some reason. surbiton for instance doesnt offer hospilatily where as the cardiff one next week does, both challenegrs are woth 50 pts to the winner.

i think often the atp make mistakes like this, but the lvl remains the same for points which is whats important, the prize money recieved by players is higher, but then they have to pay their hotel bill.

according to MTF, its raining in Valencia, so its likely that maybe no play for today. for boggo, if he doesnt play, will he cope playing two matches in one day, imo it will show how fit he really is to play at the level he's capable at. also, im starting to worry about boggo for cardiff!!

I'd be happy to see him go all the way here, and leave Cardiff to take care of itself !   At least he would have really good points from one week.

but if it rains off today and some of tomrrow they will move it indoors wont they, which would be good for boggo.

as a point of interest he won 2 matches on the same day 2 years ago on his way to the manchester challenger title.

Boggo went down in three.....6-7, 6-3 & 6-2....Fred then went onto the Final after winning in the Semis in straights.

Shame....Boggo sat around all day on Friday to lose like this....hopefully he is over the Atlantic now and soon to be landing and will be ready for Cardiff.
