The qualies top seed, Frat Boy, probably lies in store, if Dan wins that one.

I remeber watching Evans bagel fratangelo in the third set in the FQR aussie open qualies in 2016. Feel like he had a good record against him that year

Fratangelo plays Donald young first round, so either opponent would be tough for Dan but I fancy him to qualify. Sun on his back again, he likes outdoor hard courts in usa.

Julia and I watched Dan get past Koepfer in Nottingham last year without too many problems and that was when he'd only recently started his comeback, so would expect this to be fairly routine.

Agree that Young or the Frat should be tougher.

I remember the match but I didn't remember the name of the opponent. It was a first round match wasn't it and I remember him keeping everyone waiting for quite a while before he arrived on court; and as we were quite close to him I remember trying to not talk or make any noise other than applause in case of distracting him. Perhaps it was my projection but it all seemed a bit tense LOL . Never in doubt that he wouldn't win though but nevertheless a relief when the match was over without incident. I think it was the semi final (or final) where he got into an argument with umpire and lost in the end. These days he seems stronger and his tennis less affected by such stuff.

And now the match before Evo's has annoyingly gone into a decider.

Perhaps Dan will amuse himself watching Tim Henman playing (succesfully at the moment) on the main court there. But err........ perhaps not.
