According to the Daily Mail, we're looking at the Copper Box to host with Bolton Arena as back up. Also, the Fed Cup might get expanded to a 16 team World Group next year, although they said that last year.
Apart from possibly the weather, was there a reason why the likes of Eastbourne or Birmingham weren't considered for this? Eastbourne has an 8 or 9,000 centre court, so ideal from that perspective and as it's our general preferred surface and Poots only has a 3-5 record, that would definitely be to our advantage. I'm guessing it will be the weather because the Davis Cup 2015 didn't play at Queens until July, but would have been great.
Anyway, it's a pretty evenly matched contest and the home advantage might just sway it for us. Great tie, 2nd or 3rd best we could have had and so good to get it at home.

I think grass in April would be a real risk so suspect it wasn't considered to be honest.

The 4 losers of those join the 4 winner of WG2 playoffs (including GB) in WG2 next year and the 4 losers of our round of playoffs drop back down to the multiple tie landscape.
For what it Is worth , Leeds arena is available that weekend. They say on their website when built it had Davis cup in mind, so fed cup would work. Capacity for tennis is maybe 12000, and it's a strange 3 sided seating arrangement. But ...
